Which one should you choose?
If your pool is filled with standard mains water and disinfected with chlorine, AISI 304 is technically and economically sufficient.
If your pool uses a salt chlorinator, thermal/spa water, or sits in a coastal environment with high salt/humidity exposure, AISI 316 should be specified instead — the higher upfront cost avoids the cost of early replacement due to corrosion.
